How
To Buy Fragile
Labels
Upon preparing to ship delicate or
breakable materials, one may find that there is an abundance
of options for labels to identify your package as “fragile.”
Rather than making a random presumption at the appropriate
labeling, we have broken down these choices to insure that
your parcel is correctly tagged.
First, there is the Fragile
Mailing Label. This label simply states “Fragile” in text.
The label is the basic fragile label for mailing through the
postal service, USPS.
Next, there is a
variety of generic Fragile
Shipping Labels
. These contain both “Fragile”
text and an assortment of illustrations. The picture may be of
a cracked wine glass or fractured lines to demonstrate that
the contents may be easily broken.
Then there are Fragile International Shipping
Labels. This label may look the same as the
generic Fragile Shipping Label, but it states International,
or the color may be different. To know that the label is
actually international, upon purchasing, the label’s outer
packaging should state this; or when buying online, the
label’s description or checkout title should classify it as
international.
There
is also the Fragile Shipping Label combined with another
warning. For example, the text may read Fragile/Handle With
Care. There are Fragile and
Directional Labels as well which may state: Fragile/Handle
With Care and provide arrows with text stating This End
Up.
Finally,
is the International Four Placard Label. The label is divided
into four sections with individual warnings. An example of this is:
section one contains arrows indicating which end is up;
section two illustrates a cracked wine glass; section three
illustrates an umbrella sheltering from rain; and section four
has the only text, stating Fragile/Keep Dry.
All of
these labels are approved by the Department of Transportation,
D.O.T., and may be used through any of the variety of shipping
providers: USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, LTC Carriers, etc. With the
information we have provided you will be able to select the
proper label for every aspect of your contents and your
shipping methods.
Just type Fragile into
the search box in the uper left corner of our site to
see all of these fragile label images.
