D.O.T. Shipping Labels

D.O.T. Shipping Labels

The Department of Transportation has strict regulations on labeling hazardous materials by mail and through other carrier means. This includes any air travel, ground shipping or transportation on a highway, by ship and by train. Overall, the many regulations help provide and promote safety for everyone  in the delivery chain and potential victims of a hazardous waste accident or spill. Labels provide an important component to preventing any accidents, while quickly identifying the type of material was involved in a shipping mistake or accident.

Our D.O.T. shipping labels comply with current IMDG/ADR regulations for carriers, containers, and vehicles. The labels can also be placed on boxes for shipping as well. Each label uses the correct symbols for various hazardous materials, as assigned and  designated by the D.O.T., and are made with a semi-gloss cover to keep the label clear and readable through various conditions and environments. Whether it is placed on a truck or a package, these labels will stay on and not fade, wear, or tear through its transportation. Most of our hazardous shipping labels come in rolls of 500 stickers, giving you an ample amount of labels for all your shipments.

If your company deals or ships hazardous materials, the Department of Transportation and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration provides resources for carriers and shippers to follow current, legal legislation. To learn more or stay updated, visit their websites.
